Cover: The cover is okay-ish. Could have been better or more reflective of the superhero-school-plot.

Review:

As the title implies, the book is a school for superheroes.

In 1930, a falling star gave people some powers, these powers were transferred to next generations and a school was established to teach them.

Friday is attending the school for the first time. Her powers are not as impressive as compared to some other students’. She slows time by blinking.

Not wanting to be allotted a secondary helper to heroes, Friday wants to do something to show the world her strengths.

Her inability to stay out of trouble lands her in hot water more than enough.

But underneath her stubborn exterior, she is much much more.

New experiences, new friends and coping with anxiety, Friday is learning everyday.

When she discovers a mysterious golden syringe, she takes it upon herself to solve the case of The Figure, a mysterious man who has a penchant for burning things.

Unwillingly, Friday gets tangled up with Dr. Dr is The Villain whom the Captain defeated, and he is supposedly back and has taken a liking to Friday

And then there is Ashley Ang. Tall, serious and grumpy, Friday doesn’t know how to act around him.

After being kidnapped and getting into situations, Friday discovers a betrayal. Her enemies might be closer than she thought.

Friday must use her abilities super or not to protect those she loves.

And in the process, she might learn that superpowers don’t necessarily make you a hero. You can be a hero without any powers.

My Opinion:

Absolutely enjoyable book!

The elements of romance, teenage drama, adventure and superpowers are nicely blended.

Rating: 8 out of 10
