This is the latest addition to the Guardian legacy series by Ednah Walters.
Lilith Falcon is a nephilim.
She grew up with and followed the path of guardians, nephilim who protect humans
Then the tribunal , a high council orders her to live with her father for a year. She complies but blocks her mind , unwilling to let her father influence her.Valafar employs sneaky ways and erases her memory, so she will have a clean slate and a fresh start on her new life. With all her memories gone, her life forgotten she embraces the Hermonite life.
The web of deceit is immense, she sonetimes gets suspicious but her inner goodness and love for her father restores her faith .Along with hatred for the guardians who according to her father kidnapped her.
Her mind may not know but her heart remembers. It gravitates toward the green eyed mysterious guy who appears at unlikely places. Her eyes seek him out, and she knows in her heart that he can be trusted.
Fans of the series will get to look at the hermonites life, and demons point of view.Valafar is presented as a loving although a bit reserved father. Lilith lives a life of a princess. This is a part of her journey, she has to unite the hermonites and the guardians, so its necessary that she gets to know them both.
She may not know the truth but her inherent goodness forces her to do something for the betterment of the depraved minions.
But soon she discovers that those who are charged with her care are the ones destroying her.She has to do everything to unite her people peacefully. Will she be able to do that? Will she get her memories and go back to the guardians, or stay with her father?
The cover is ok and can be improved to represent such an amazing read.
Not enough mention of guardians was disappointing, though understandable as Bran (the green eyed guy )says, its a part of the journey.
As a guardian fan I thought, the young guardians should have been mentioned more.
The book leaves you wanting to read more. What happens next? Will Lilith be able to unite her people peacefully?
I got this book from netgalley .
